What do I need to get started?
Your address and an email. Rooftree builds your home from the address in about ten seconds. Have your home inspection report? Upload the PDF once you're in — reports from any inspection company work, and it was emailed to you around the time of the inspection if you can't find it.
How long does setup take?
About 1 to 2 minutes. Upload the PDF, confirm a few details, and your plan is ready. We read the whole report for you.
What does the free trial include?
Everything — 31 days of full access, no credit card required. When the trial ends you choose a plan: $79 a year, or $299 once for a lifetime membership that covers each home you own for the rest of your life. If you don't choose one, nothing is charged — your account stays and your data remains readable, but the live features pause until you restore.
Where do the cost estimates come from?
Two places, and each figure is labeled. If your inspector included a cost range, we show it as "Inspector est." If not, we show "Rooftree est," a planning range built from national repair cost data and adjusted for your state. These are planning numbers, not quotes.
Do you change what my inspector wrote?
No. Your report stays exactly as it was delivered. You can open the full PDF anytime, and every task links back to the exact excerpt it came from.
Is my data private?
Yes. We do not sell your data, and there are no ad trackers inside the app — only standard ad measurement tags on our marketing pages. If you upload a report and decide not to sign up, we delete it automatically within 90 days. You can also delete everything yourself at any time.
Can my spouse or co-owner use it too?
Yes. Co-owners get their own login and full access at no extra cost.
My inspection was a few years ago. Is it still useful?
Yes. The plan, calendar, records, and net worth tracking work for any home. A recent report gives the best starting point, but an older one still maps out your systems and known issues.
